The State of Mecca before the Prophet -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- was sent Part 01 of 04

The religion of the Arabs used to mostly follow the teachings of the Prophet Isma'il to follow Millah Ibrohim to affirm Allah and not associate Him with anything.

Amr bin Luay al-Khuza'i was the first person to bring an idol to the city of Mecca from Syria named Hubal and put it in the Ka'bah and invite people to worship him. Among the first and greatest idols were named Manat, al-Laata and al-Uzza.

They slaughter for idols (al-Maidah verse 3) and provide some of the food for their idols (al-an'am 136) and they make vows for other than Allah (Surah al-An'am 138). And among their beliefs that these idols will intercede for them in the sight of Allah (Surah Yunus 18).
