IMPLEMENTING THE NATURE OF THE PROPHET ﷺ

Aisyah radhiyallahu anha has concluded that the morals of the Prophet ﷺ are the Qur'an.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was a figure of noble character, even before he was appointed as a prophet, as this was recognized by the Quraish themselves, both believers and non-believers among them.

When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was ordered to start preaching to his closest relatives, he ﷺ went up on the hill of Safa, then called Bani Fihr and Bani Adi who were his close relatives ﷺ to gather. It is said that all of them, without exception, at that time admitted that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was an honest person, never once lied.

Abu Sufyan radhiyallaahu anhu who was still a disbeliever, was asked by the Roman Emperor about the morals of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Abu Sufyan also replied that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ never once lied or betrayed him.

A Jewish priest who eventually became one of the best friends of the Prophet ﷺ, namely Abdullah bin Salam radhiyallaahu anhu, said that the face of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ showed that he ﷺ was not a figure who had ever lied.

Prophet Muhammad's morals ﷺ are miracles, therefore he is perfect and covers all aspects of life, from the seemingly trivial manners to the most urgent, starting from household affairs to dealing with society in general.

Once upon a time Rasulullah ditanya was asked about dhabb, a food he did not like. But he ﷺ still answered the question in a manners manner, by saying that the food was not normally eaten in his hometown ﷺ, so he did not get used to eating it, without the slightest disapproval of the food.

Anas bin Malik radhiyallaahu anhu who served Rasulullah ﷺ for 10 years, said that he was never rebuked, nor was he harshly reprimanded by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding the mistakes he had done while serving him.

Haven't we often read that Rasulullah was also a figure who glorified slaves, even he ﷺ never visited his former servant ﷺ who was still a Jew at that time.

One time a bedouin suddenly pulled the shawl of Rasulullah ﷺ, then by only mentioning his name ﷺ (without calling Rasulullah) he immediately asked for the cloth he was wearing as a shawl. Rasulullah ﷺ did not scold him or surrender to him in the least. Rasulullah ﷺ even smiled at him, while giving the scarf to the Arab Bedouin.

Look at how the Quraiys disbelievers drove the Prophet ﷺ out of Mecca with great cruelty, but when he succeeded in conquering Mecca, the first thing he ﷺ did was offer forgiveness for all their mistakes with humility, so that they converted to Islam in droves.

Rasulullah ﷺ often took his grandchildren with him ﷺ (Umamah, Hasan and Husein) when praying, and let them climb on his back ﷺ to prolong his prostration ﷺ.

Rasulullah ﷺ is a figure of a prophet and a messenger who instructs the imams to shorten the duration of prayers when a child is heard crying. He ﷺ is a figure who is accustomed to approaching children who are playing, then saying greetings while chatting with them.

When Rasulullah ﷺ held a walimah ceremony for his marriage with Zainab bint Jahsy, the friends who were very happy to be close to him ﷺ forgot about the time, so they stayed too long at Rasulullah's house ﷺ. However, it turned out that the Messenger of Allah malu felt ashamed to ask them to leave, until Allah revealed a verse related to this, so that the companions remembered the time and did not linger when visiting Rasulullah ﷺ.

Shafiyyah bint Huyai radhiyallaahu anha, was the wife of Rasulullah ﷺ who was previously an honorable daughter of a Jewish family who was known to be pious and respectful as well. Her father, husband, and siblings were killed during the expulsion of the Banu Nadhir Jews from Medina, after they betrayed the peace agreement with the Muslims in the Khandaq War. However, Shafiyyah acknowledged the noble character and character of the Prophet ﷺ. It is said that Rasulullah ﷺ once used his thighs as a base for the Shafiyyah to ride on camels. Shafiyyah also visited her husband, Rasulullah ﷺ, when he ﷺ was giving 'tikaf. After chatting with each other for a while, Rasulullah ﷺ also escorted Shafiyyah to go home.

Rasulullah ﷺ sometimes walked barefoot, and was very ascetic towards worldly pleasures, even though the world's luxuries were very easy for him ﷺ to obtain.

Rasulullah ﷺ was a very generous figure. The story of his generosity ﷺ is too numerous to cover in this brief description. Once upon a time a sahabiah gave a gift to Rasulullah, and he ﷺ accepted the clothes because he really needed them. Just now he ﷺ wearing it, suddenly one of the friends came over to him ﷺ, then asked for the clothes. Rasulullah ﷺ immediately gave the clothes to him.

Hopefully the reminder will make us even more eager to continue to improve our moral quality, so that with it the quality of our Islam and faith will improve.
